SmartFood addresses the challenge “Green and blue city of the future” with a novel solution for urban farming, allowing citizens with limited access to land (e.g. inhabitants of block of flats) for growing their own food with hydroponic zero-emission and smart food production units. This will allow for substantial decrease of water and carbon footprint of food consumed in cities, and thereby we answer the need of climate change adaptation.
