Europe - China Cooperation in Green Electronics Production Research

This project seeks to facilitate improved research collaboration between China and Europe in the area of Green Electronics production research.

The consortium, coordinated by Western Norway Research Institute in Norway, comprises six partners in China, Poland, the UK, Sweden and Norway. The total duration of the project is two years, starting in October 2006.

Central project tasks include the formation of research teams and the establishment of a Centre of Excellence in Shanghai. In addition, the project will organise two international conferences on Green Electronics. Dedicated workshops and seminars will be organised in connection with the conferences, with presentations, demonstrations and the exchange of Best Practices in Europe and China.

The project targets large industrial actors, politicians (regional and national), and other key decision-makers who use, develop and promote Green Electronics in their countries.
