Professor Rajendra Akerkar member of Big Data committee
Professor Rajendra Akerkar at Vestlandsforsking has been nominated by the Norwegian Research Council as a Management Committee Member to the European Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) Action “High-Performance Modelling and Simulation for Big Data Applications".
The objective of the committee is to support information exchange, synergy and coordination of activities among European research groups and global partner institutions, and to foster a novel, coordinated Big Data endeavour supported by High-Performance Computing. The participation in this committee is both a recognition of our competence in this important research area as well as an excellent opportunity for further strengthening of our European research cooperation within the ICT area.
