The paper describes how to make information from a pool of web sites with relatively limited thematic content accessible to the public. The users access the information through a menu representing the taxonomy picturing a classification of the web pages according to their content. By clicking on the last menu point he generates a search in a search engine that reports the results as a list of document titles. The documents referred to are those carrying thematic content indicated by the menu title. We are sketching the theoretical basis for such a service. We give the basic principles for how to construct the taxonomy and how to use a search engine to construct advanced searches that will return relevant information documents.
