Mapping the need for digital literacy to leave NEET situations: Social actors’ perceptions and contributions

The labor market has increasingly become influenced by digitalization and automation which are causing transformations in working life and work skills. This will have a severe impact on youth from disadvantaged and marginalized backgrounds, especially those who are not in education, employment, and training (NEET). This study investigates the need for digital literacy to leave NEET situations, according to social actors working with this group. This research facilitates co-produced knowledge gathered by a broad composite reference group from non-profit organizations, intermunicipal regional councils, NAV, municipalities, private companies that all work with immigrant youth and youth in NEET situations. The project will be carried out as a collaboration between the Western Norway Research Institute and NAV Sunnfjord, Bergen municipality - Mulighetssenteret for Ungdom, JobLoop AS.
